Share a File

Sharing a file on the Jinolo platform can be an excellent way to facilitate collaboration and receive feedback from other users. By sharing a file, the author can allow other people to see and comment on the file, helping to improve the final product. One of the key benefits of the Jinolo platform is that the author of the file can control how much access each person is granted.

For example, the author can give a person access to only view the file, or they can allow them to comment on the file, or even download the file. This level of control can help to ensure that only the necessary people have access to the file and that the collaboration process runs smoothly. It's important to note that if a user has no access to the file, they will not be able to perform any of these actions, which helps to protect the security and confidentiality of the file.

Share with an Email Address

Sharing a file on the Jinolo platform is a simple process that can be completed in a few easy steps. Here's a guide to help you share a file with others:

1.

Go to the home page: To start, go to the Jinolo home page and locate the file that you want to share. Click on the file, and it will open in the viewer.

2.

Click the "Share" button: Once you've opened the file, look for the "Share" button on the top right-hand side of the page. Click on it, and a modal will open.

3.

Enter the recipient's email address and description: In the modal, enter the email address of the person you want to share the file with, along with a description or message to provide context. There is also a toggle button to control the recipient's permissions, such as whether or not they can download the file.

4.

Click "Share": Once you've entered the recipient's email and message, click the "Share" button at the bottom of the modal. You will see a message that says "Successfully shared with" followed by the recipient's email address. You can now close the modal.

5.

Recipient receives an email: The recipient will receive an email in their inbox informing them that you've shared a file with them. If they don't yet have an account, they will need to create one using the same email address before they can view the file.

6.

File appears on recipient's home page: Once the recipient has signed in, they can view the shared file by going to their home page. The file will appear under the "All Documents" heading.

In summary, to share a file on the Jinolo platform, you need to go to the home page, click on the file, click the "Share" button, enter the recipient's email address and a description, toggle the permissions, click "Share", and then the recipient will receive an email with the shared file.
