Comment on a File

Jinolo's commenting feature enables users to have discussions and provide feedback on 3D and 2D CAD files within the browser. The commenting feature is located on the right-hand side of the viewer and can be accessed by clicking on the "Comments" tab. Comments can be written in the chat box or made directly on the model by clicking and dragging to select the area of the model you want to comment on. Users who have access to the file and commenting permissions can leave comments and respond to other comments. This helps to streamline the collaboration process and makes it easy for everyone involved to provide their feedback and suggestions.

Commenting in the Chat

Jinolo allows users to add comments to CAD files in the chat feature. To comment on a CAD file in the chat, follow these steps:

1.

Click on the title of the file you want to comment on. This will take you to the page with the viewer.

2.

At the top of the viewer, click on the comment icon. This will open the chat feature on the right-hand side of the screen.

3.

To add a new comment, type your comment in the box at the bottom of the chat and press enter. Your comment will appear in the chat and be visible to anyone else who has access to the file.

4.

You can reply to someone else's comment by clicking on the comment and typing your reply in the same box.

5.

You can click on any comment in the chat to see more information about the author and the time it was sent.

6.

To close the chat, click on the comment icon at the top of the viewer again.

That's it! Now you know how to add comments to CAD files in the chat feature on Jinolo.

Commenting on the Model

Our 3D viewer at Jinolo also allows users to comment directly on the model in 3D. This helps with communication because users can discuss specific details about the model.

To comment on a 3D model in Jinolo follow these steps:

1.

Start by clicking on the model to open it. This will take you to the page with the viewer.

2.

In the top bar, you'll see a comment icon. Click on this to open the comment feature.

3.

Instead of typing your comment in the chat box, this time, click anywhere on the 3D model where you want to add a comment. When you click, a text box will appear where you can type your comment.

4.

Once you've finished typing, press Enter to save the comment. The comment will then be visible on the 3D model itself and in the chat window, helping everyone keep track of the conversation.
